About

Classic 2026

NCASC Background

The National Capital All-Star Classic (NCASC) was established in 2007 as a Middle School showcase of student-athletes in the Ottawa-Carleton Region. It aims to raise the profile of the participants and encourage them to pursue and/or continue in the sport. This annual event has proven very successful and well supported by the local community and has seen a number of our alumni go on to high level University and Professional careers in basketball. Unfortunately, due to COVID related issues, the event was paused.

The COVID pause afforded us the opportunity to explore a more inclusive event. In partnership with the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association (EOBA) and the Ottawa Basketball Network, we have expanded our catchment area to include players and families from all across Eastern Ontario — Cornwall to Pembroke to Perth to Kingston and all places in between. Our new format includes U14, U16 and U18 boys and girls events.

Mission

Why we do this

At the National Capital All-Star Classic (NCASC), our mission is to celebrate the sport of basketball in Eastern Ontario. We aim to accomplish this by providing support, exposure, and motivation for athletes, that will inspire them to pursue their dreams and goals, and highlight services, community organizations and groups that engage youth.

We encourage youth to pursue sports and healthy lifestyles. We wish to contribute to the grassroots growth of basketball and provide support for community organizations that provide programs that promote our mission.
